The Hungarian minor scale has 7 notes: 1 2 ♭3 ♯4 5 ♭6 7. In A, that gives A, B, C, D♯, E, F and G♯. Its two steps and a half (between ♭3 and ♯4, then between ♭6 and 7) give it a strong character, heard in Central European music and neoclassical metal.
