============================================================================== PRESS RELEASE ============================================================================== UNITBASSE 2.0 FOR MAC: WRITE YOUR BASS LINES AND PLAY WITH A REAL RHYTHM SECTION Saint-Denis, France, 20 FOIS L'OURS announces UnitBasse 2.0, the new version of its practice app for bass players on Mac. Scales, tuner, amp and metronome are now joined by two new modules: Scores, to write bass lines in standard notation and tab, and BackTrack, a rhythm section played by real musicians. UnitBasse is also coming to iPad. Available on the Mac App Store for $24.99. THE BASS PLAYER'S WORKSHOP, ON MAC ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UnitBasse is not a studio: it is the bass player's daily practice tool. It brings together in one app what used to mean juggling PDFs, videos and software designed for guitar. No subscription, no account, fully offline. NEW: SCORES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scores lets you write bass lines in standard notation and tab at the same time, on a 24-fret fretboard, for 4, 5 and 6-string basses. Notation is complete: dynamics, repeats, 1st and 2nd endings, Segno and Coda, time signature changes, grace notes, bends, vibrato, harmonics, ghost notes, palm mute, slap and pop. Songs are split into sections (intro, verse, chorus…) that you can loop, with lyrics under every bar. The line plays back on real bass samples, dynamics, bends, harmonics and ghost notes included. Scores opens Guitar Pro (versions 3 to 8) and MusicXML files, and exports to PDF, MusicXML, MIDI or text tab. A line written in Scores can be sent to BackTrack, which plays it with the whole band. NEW: BACKTRACK ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BackTrack gives bass players a rhythm section to play with: the drums are played by a real drummer, Olivier Guilbert, then replayed at every tempo, never stretched. Percussion, keys (piano, vibraphone, organ, electric piano, synth…), guitar, brass and strings complete the band, each in the style of a school: Cincinnati funk, Memphis soul, Kansas City big band… Sixteen styles (from rock to samba, through Motown soul, reggae, metal and country) and 131 charts are ready to play. Anyone can write their own chart, section by section, or import it from iReal Pro, then shape the song's sound, instrument by instrument and the drums drum by drum. The band listens: the bass locks to the drummer's kick, and the chorus sounds fuller than the verse. The bass is muted by default: the bass player plays. STILL AT THE HEART OF THE APP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Scales: 69 scales in 12 families across the whole neck, as notes, intervals or degrees, with fingerings, colors for each harmonic role and playback; chords of the scale, triads, arpeggios and circle of fifths. - Tuner: a tuner pedal, needle or strobe, accurate to the cent, reference from 430 to 450 Hz. - Amp: 8 amps, each with its own sound and look, 5 cabinets and a 22-effect pedalboard. UnitBasse also loads the Audio Units plugins users already own (it does not include any). - Metronome: 30 to 300 BPM, 20 time signatures including compound and odd meters, subdivisions and Tap Tempo. ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE, IN 14 LANGUAGES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UnitBasse is fully usable with VoiceOver, in all 14 of its languages: French, English, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian, Polish and Turkish. ALSO ON IPAD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UnitBasse for iPad brings scales, harmony, the tuner, the metronome and a real-time amp (8 amps, 5 cabinets, 7 pedals). Sold separately, $11.99. AVAILABILITY AND PRICING ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UnitBasse 2.0 for Mac: $24.99, one-time purchase, no subscription.
